Kinetic Sculptures

Kinetic Sculptures #3, #4 and #6 are made of three loose elements (not attached to each other), standing on top of each other simply through balance. The two top elements can independently rotate full circle. They could also be considered standing mobile sculptures (or mistakenly labeled stabiles).

What is a kinetic sculpture? A kinetic sculpture essentially means a sculpture with moving parts. The word “kinetic” means “moving” or “in motion”. The parts of my kinetic sculptures are moved by wind or air currents, or by giving the parts a slight push.
